It's that time of year again & I just wanted to take a moment to let you know about upcoming Limited Edition Sessions that we have here at V7 Photos.
The Limited Edition Sessions are $30 sessions, can include up to 6 people and you get 1-5x7 & 4 wallets of your favorite image. You also get a 5% discount on anything else ordered from your Limited Edition Session, and if you are a fan on facebook, you get a 10% discount. The Limited Edition Sessions are a set theme/backdrop and include up to 25 minutes of shoot time. We have sessions available on Saturday from 10am-7pm and on Friday & Monday sessions are available 1pm-7pm. The upcoming Limited Edition Sessions are:

New Summer Hours
Hi everyone!!! I hope this year has treated you well so far. We have been really hopping at the studio with Senior Sessions.
We have some exciting (I hope) news for all of our clients....after lots and lots of praying and researching and discussing and praying some more, I have decided to change the hours at the studio. We are going to have "Summer Hours" May 10 - Sep. 1.
V7 Photos New Hours will be:
Studio Open Monday 1pm-5pm, all other times are by appointment only.
I hope everyone likes the new hours and understands why I felt we needed to make the change.
I truly believe that the new hours will benefit everyone by allowing us to truly and completly focus on each and every client that comes through the door. By doing "appointment only", when you book a session or need to come in to view your photos, order, or pickup your photos, your time is your time alone and this will also help work around your schedule as well. That way, if you can't be at the studio by 5pm, just call and let us know when would be good for you and we will set up a time to meet you there. 90% of what we do is one on one and this way there won't be interuptions when you are at the studio.
We will have the studio phone forwarded to the studio cell so whichever phone # you call, we will answer or get right back to you if we are with someone. Calls will be answered and/or returned Monday-Friday 1pm-7pm. If you have a last minute booking, we will return the call and try to get you in if at all possible.

Howdy!!! 3/23/10
Just wanted to say Hi and let everyone know that although we've had our main computer "pass away", we are getting caught back up and if you session isn't up yet....it will be soon! Thanks for your patience while we are fixing the computers....we have got the ability to scan again so that's great...now to get the restores we have on the books done....I really love seeing photos that have been destroyed by age come back to life.

1/16/10 ~ Happy New Year & Special Price on LARGE PRINTS!!!
Happy New Year!!! I hope this post finds everyone settling into 2010. We've been busy busy busy at the studio. We are in the middle of a little "Spring Cleaning" or I guess I should say Winter cleaning since it's been sooo very cold.
I wanted to share with all our "fans" and readers a little special for our 16x16 or larger prints. Now through February 12, 2010 you can take 25% off our regular price for any 16x16 or larger print. No limit on the number of copies, etc. You can use this special for any session you have already completed or any upcoming you have booked before that time. Orders must be placed and paid for by 2/10/10 to qualify.
Don't forget...Cupid's Dream Limited Edition Session will be Jan. 22nd & 23rd...hurry and book your Valentine Photos now so that you can have them back in time for your cards.

I thought as a way to start out the year, I'd share something about me that y'all might not know. I LOVE taking photos of the sky...don't ask me why....I just love all the ways the lights and clouds mix. I always have a "throw down" point and shoot camera in my purse so I can snap pics even if I for some reason don't have my "brick" with me. (The "Brick" is our knick name for my main camera because it's so heavy..kinda like a brick.) anyways....I was clearing the card and looking through to see what I had snapped pics of Oct. 25 - Jan. 11 and found several sky photos I wanted to share with y'all. Enjoy!!!
Oct. 25, 2009 ....I love how the light pokes through the clouds...makes me think of God reaching down to touch our lives.
12/21/09 First photo was on my way to the studio in the morning...love the tubes of clouds going across the sky...... 2nd & 3rd are on my way home that same night...like how they are kinda whispy...the photos didn't do it justice though.

Graduation is well.....expensive and can take quite a toll on your parents wallets. Your senior pictures may be the first thing to get axed off the list if you are down to a budget, which happens quite a bit. That's why V7 Photos is offering the Senior Portrait Scholarship Program for three deserving Seniors. The Scholarships will include a FREE In-Studio and On-Site Deluxe Session valued at $80, Senior Collection #1 Portrait Package valued at $180 and 25% off any other items purchased.
~Applications are due no later then January 1, 2010. Winners will be announced by January 25, 2010. Scholarship must be used by July 1, 2010.
~To be eligible you must be a resident of the Sweeny, Texas area attending one of the local area high schools. Area High Schools include: Sweeny, West Columbia, Brazoswood, Brazosport, West Columbia Charter, Van Vleck, Bay City, Angleton and area Private & Christian Schools.
~Scholarships will be awarded based on either financial needs or personal circumstances.
~You must submit an application and essay of 250 words or less.
~Scholarships are market valued at a minimum of $260 however may include a higher monetary value. There are no exchanges and due to the nature of the product no refunds. Scholarships may not be exchanged for cash or payment.
~All company policies apply to scholarships and session progression.
~All scholarship winners (or their parents if under 18) must sign a model release for the session to claim the scholarship.

We really didn't think it would be that hard to choose the winners but we've been going round and round and can't all decide on the same photo for each entry level. SOOO....we have decided to extend the votes to you our clients, fans, and friends.
The photos have been uploaded to our facebook fan page. (just click on the facebook link at the upper right side of the blog home page) and click on the "Photos". There are 4 girl folders & 3 boy folders. Please only 1 vote per folder. You are welcome to vote on any and all levels and ask your friends and family to vote as well. Call and book your FREE 15 minute photo shoot today to enter your child(ren) in the contest.
You may also choose to use an image of your child from a regular session that you have booked with V7 Photos between Sept. 22 & Nov. 15, 2009.
Sessions must be booked between September 22 & November 15, 2009.
Free 15 minute session includes 1 background of your choice & 1 outfit. Props are optional.
There will be 1 boy, 1 girl & 1 multiple (twins, triplets or more) winner for each age level.
Age Levels are:
Infant – 12 months
1 year – 3 year
4 year (Preschool) – Kindergarten
Elementary A (1st – 2nd grade)
Elementary B (3rd - 5th grade)
Jr. High (6th grade – 8th grade)
High School (9th grade – 12th grade)
Entry Fee:
~One or more unwrapped gifts, valued at $10+, appropriate for the entrants age. Must include a receipt for proof that gift(s) are valued at $10+. You may choose to make a monetary donation of $10+ that will be used to purchase additional gifts. Toys will be donated to children in Brazoria County CPS to help insure that they have a wonderful holiday despite their circumstances. ($10 gift is per child and you are welcome to give more than that)
~Model Release for entire session (all portraits) must be signed. There will be no further reimbursement for the Model Release. Model Release will include any use of portraits as deemed appropriate by the staff of V7 Photos. This includes: ads placed in the papers, online, websites, etc. as well as use in portfolio and walls of the studio.
